Biography

I moved down to Ohio in 2018 after my military deployment to Al Udeid AB, Qatar. I am still currently a member of the Air National Guard out of Michigan where I work as special hazmat handler and joint inspector. I have been with the Law Office of David A. Chicarelli since I moved down here and started as a law clerk while waiting to get my license in Ohio. Since working at the office, I have been able to play a part in numerous civil, criminal, family law, wills, and small claims cases of all sizes and levels. In my own practice, I focus primarily on family law, civil, criminal, and basic estate planning. I am also a trained guardian ad litem.

I have also interned at the Michigan Department of Military and Veteran’s affairs in Lansing Michigan and the JAG office at Selfridge Air National Guard Base in Michigan helping military personnel answer legal questions and plan for deployments.

I am originally from the great state of Michigan where I began my legal career in the corporate world working at Quicken Loans in Detroit in their quality control and marketing compliance departments. I attended Michigan State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in both Fisheries and Wildlife as well as a Bachelor of Science from Lyman Briggs residential college in Environmental Sciences and Management. In my last year of undergrad I realized I was much more interested in policy than staying in a lab. After undergrad I attended Thomas M. Cooley Law school where I obtained my Juris Doctor as well as a Masters of Law in Homeland and National Security Law. While in law school I was an editor for the National and Homeland Security Law Review as well as a Student Senator and Secretary for the Entertainment Law Society during my time there. During my time in Law School I volunteered at Lakeshore Legal Aid as well as worked at several small law firms in the area.

I am a mom in a rather large, blended family. I have two sons with my fiancé as well as two stepdaughters. I am blessed to have a wonderful relationship with my stepdaughters’ mom. I also enjoy powerlifting and I was nationally ranked at one point in time before taking a break to have my boys. I travel often due to the military as well as traveling back to visit my family in Michigan. I love anything outdoors as well.

I treat my clients with the utmost respect and compassion as I understand that they are coming to me at some of the darkest points in their life. Whether it be a custody matter, simple will planning, or a criminal offense, I know that my office is often the last place someone wants to be. I am an attorney who listens first and asks questions second. My experience has taught me to be a zealous advocate for my client while being open and honest and having reasonable expectations for your case. My experience as a parent in a blended family as well as a veteran allow me to a have a unique perspective and a deep compassion for my clients and what they are going through. I can promise that I am committed to achieving the best possible outcome for your case, no matter what it is.
